We accept applications for volunteers over 16 years of age
and from families on an on-going basis for our services. Volunteer positions include the following areas; Administration, Camps, Activity Days, Mentors, Trainers, Bus Drivers, Cooks, First Aid Officers, Fundraiser's, and Committee Members. Volunteersare required to undergo police & reference checks prior
to undertaking work with us, at the initial interview forms will be given
for the applicant to complete. At present there are approximately 300 -350 people that volunteer for ERC SA directly on committees, management, camps, day activities, office based administration, and other areas. We also take on students for placements and work experience on an on-going basis. Contact us to discuss options for placements.
Edmund Rice Camps SA currently has a network of approximately
300 active volunteers. The volunteers come to us from a variety
of sources including schools, universities, TAFE Colleges, human
service agencies, referrals from friends and advertising. The
volunteers are both female and male and are aged between 16
and 70 years. Those volunteers who act as mentors/leaders
on camps and other events are usually between 16 and 30 years of
age.
Each volunteer is subject to a police check, interview and reference check before they commence as a volunteer with us.
We are fortunate to have volunteers come on camp as a personal choice. They want to spend time with children, young people and families and have meaningful experiences through the planned activities and events.
