The Camps, Day Activities and Programs provided by ERC SA currently are:
Co-Ed camps for children aged 6-11 years are usually held in mid January annually with 4 camps in this period. Camp activities include swimming, team games, craft, sports, cooking, walking and many other fun activities. There are approximately 20 places available for children on each camp, and 20-25 leaders on each Co-Ed camp.
Boys Camps for boys aged 11-15 years are usually held in the April and September/October school holidays. The camps are based on challenge, self-development and teamwork. There are approximately 15-20 places available for boys and an equal number for leaders on each camp offered.
Girls Camps for girls aged 11-15 years are usually held in the April and September/October school holidays. The camp is based on challenge, self-development and teamwork. There are approximately 15-20 places available for girls and an equal number for leaders on each camp offered.
Family Camps are usually held in July annually. The camps enable the family unit to holiday together as well as allow parents to attend workshops such as resolving family conflict, drug and alcohol education and service descriptions while their children participate in activities such as swimming, craft, bush walking and sports.
Mini Camps are usually held at various times throughout the year (over weekends from Friday night through to Sunday afternoon) and are offered for identified target groups such as siblings access camp, grandparents respite camp etc. The camps are based on challenge, self-development and teamwork, as well as specific aims for target groups identified. There are approximately 15-20 places available for children / young people and an equal number for leaders on each camp offered.
This year we have new target groups including a young parents family camp, Aboriginal Camp and Multicultural Camp
Other Camps, Retreats & Group Bookings. If you have a group that you would like us to provide a camp or retreat for we can plan, facilitate & evaluate one for you. Contact us to discuss how best to met your needs, costs, staff and planning.
Activity Days and/or Community Events are held for all client groups and/or the community at large individually at various times throughout the year, when a camp is not being run for that particular group. Activity Days usually range from in-house craft days to excursions to the movies, zoo, rock climbing etc. Activity Days are also held for families.
Community Events are often held at various location and are run almost like FETE’s with lots of activities and options for children, young people & families to participate in.
Christmas Family Activity Day is held on an afternoon in December and is open to all our clients and their families. There are Christmas crafts, singing, games and also special guests.
Training Services
We pride ourselves on being leaders in trainings for and with children, young people, families as well as organisations, individuals and agencies in the community. Currently the trainings we ooffer are; Child Safe Environments, Protective Behaviours, Change Management, Team Building & Food handling. The best bit is that all funds raised through our trainings go towards providing our other services to children, young people, volunteers & families.
